July 2013

July started off rough.  After having mastitis in Salt Lake, I came back to Eagle to be plagued with the nasty stomach flu that took down our whole family for almost two weeks!  So while we recovered, slowly unpacked, the kids explored the yard. Matthew especially enjoyed shooting his bow and arrow.

Our own little firework show. We were still too exhausted to venture away from the house.

We also worked in the garden.  I went a little overboard at the garden nursery...I was just so excited that I could finally grow certain flowers that always died in Phoenix. We also bought worms for our compost!  Oddly, we were way too excited about that-felt like Christmas.

Jane had great outfits.

And then we were off to California for a Zinn family reunion.  We had so much fun!  Such a great vacation of just playing in the sand and ocean.
First stop in Morgan Hill for a little golfing.

And then down to Carlsbad.

Audrey and I looked awesome. We were the beauties of the beach.

Matthew spent several hours digging holes.

After all of our various sleeping arrangements, these kids have become pretty good at sleeping all packed in one bed.

Came back to Idaho.  Celebrated my birthday.  My most favorite present was that Rick arranged for raw milk to be delivered once a week.

Then we went to the Walker family reunion for a few days.

And that was our July. Whew!

June 2013

Technically this was the end of May-June.  Either way it was crazy.
Said goodbye to dear friends.

Rick's parents came for a quick visit.  In the middle of their visit I flew out to Morgan Hill, as did my siblings, to surprise my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Then flew back to start packing up the house!

we ate and slept on the floor for awhile (the truck came earlier than we had anticipated)

 Said goodbye to Phoenix.

Drove to SLC for one day for a Zinn sibling reunion.

Then drove to Spokane to pick up our dog.

Continued north to visit cousins in Winthrop, Washington

Five days later drove back down to Eagle, Idaho and spent a day at our new stomping grounds

only to get back in the car to head down to SLC for the Lochhead family reunion and Bob and KLynn send off.

In the midst of all this, Rick graduated!! we dropped Rick's parents off at the MTC saturday afternoon, then drove to Phoenix, arrived around 3am,
went to graduation at 11am, then got back in the car and drove back to SLC so Rick could go on his last backpacking trip with the boys from our Phoenix ward.

Then we said goodbye to Rick's parents at the airport as they headed off on their mission to Donetsk, Ukraine.
