Poor Rick was post-call on Father's day (went to work at 4:30 am came home the next day at 11:00am and he never slept or even sat down). That is why I love this picture. He can barely smile or even keep his eyes opened. It captures the reality of our life. Rick is always tired and going on very little sleep. But he is an awesome dad. Even though he is so tired, he will always stay awake with the kids, play with them, and nap when they nap. Also, he always puts us first. Since he so rarely see us, he has repeatedly turned down offers to play golf, football, soccer, and attend pro sporting events. I love him and my own father who is also amazing.

And that isn't the first picture of Rick where he looks like that. My favorite was the one of him asleep face-down on the floor (shoes and bag still on) with Chrissie sitting next to him. I am amazed at how you both are able survive such a crazy. Happy Father's Day Rick! Sure love you.
