Waiting for the fireworks. The first firework scared Matthew (I've never seen him so terrified/shocked), however, he quickly got over it. Chrissie asked lots of questions: why is there smoke? And Matthew kept saying: "pireworks...its bery loud."
Flag cake.Chrissie helped me make this cake. She decorated it all by herself and asked lots of questions about stripes/stars, colors, etc. Making this cake ended up being a great way to teach Chrissie about the American flag.

Chrissie in her "america day" outfit. Yes. My daughter was wearing long sleeves in a 100+ degree weather. Supposedly, she liked the shirt because it added blue-the exact color she was looking for to complete the ensemble.

I love Chrissie's polka dot/plaid combination with the "American Flag blue" bunny. Matthew and Rick have the same "I don't like to take pictures" look on their faces and they BOTH look cute :) ... and you holding my little Miss Jane is always sweet :)
Can I die about your fairy party?! Where on earth do you come up with this stuff, Vanessa? If I ever have a little girl in my life, I need you to teach me the ropes :)
Happy 4th :)
Chrissie's American outfit was stunning!! And good job on the cake--I've always wanted to make one of those--but never have. Kisses to Sweet Jane!
Chrissie looks adorable. I love it! The cake is darling too...and the red chair. Looks like a great time. We miss you guys!
Rick you are so photogenic. We had some people over for brunch this morning and they were admiring your barn that you made for Eve. So proud.
And speaking of proud Vanessa, your's and Chrissie's American flag cake looks amazing! I can just hear her asking all those questions. I'm sorry Matthew was scared of the pireworks. Such a cutie.
Thanks Becky.
