We returned today from a two week trip on the east coast with family. We had a wonderful time as evident in Chrissie's smile. She loves spending time with her cousins. And I miss my family.
I miss the late night card games.
I miss hearing my brother serenade Kyle with the "good morning princess song."
I miss Rachel's cooking.
I miss seeing my Dad wrestle with Matthew...and hold Matthew...and love Matthew.
I miss the late night talks with my sisters/sisters-in-law.
I miss Chandra's stories.
I miss Jessica's laugh.
I miss hanging out with Audrey and Kyle, even though they're my niece and nephew, they feel more like a sister and brother. And they make me laugh.
The list could go on and on.
Bottom line: Families are the best.

I agree, it was great to see family. Chrissie played all day and every day with her cousins. I do not remember a single fight. All I remember is her happy, excited face telling me what new game she was playing with her cousins. Matthew loved to "wres" with Grandpa and Kyle. He was told to be sweat with his mother, sisters, and cousins but could be rough with Daddy, Grandpa, and Kyle.
We had a great time.
It sounds so-so wonderful. I am glad you were able to have such a long wonderful break--and be with family. Thanks Zinn's
