(At the train stop on the way to her first violin group lesson)
Three weeks ago in addition to private lessons Chrissie started violin group lessons or "Geigenschule." I was so proud of her courage. Not only did she start something new in a new place but it was in a language she didn't even understand. For me, that would all be very intimidating. On the first day, she jumped right into the class without any hesitations. She just looked around at the other children for her cues since she could not understand the teacher's commands.

(The neighborhood where the group lessons are held. It's in a building associated with an old church)
This week she had not one, but, two concerts. So in two weeks she had to learn several new songs in order to perform. She played beautifully and enjoys playing with children her age.
(such a bad picture but the only one)
On Sunday she had a concert at an "old" church (not sure if it was genuinely old but it looked/felt old) in Hannover with other performing groups. Please excuse the photos. We had a hard time getting a good shot.
Today she had a concert at a school with a young cello group. Sadly, I forgot the camera for this second concert. Chrissie was beaming the entire time. This was my favorite concert because it was more intimate, Chrissie's group played a lot more, and it was only children/youth. Also, the violin and cellos played some numbers together, which were beautiful.

I'm so proud of that litle girl. I love the way she just steps up to the plate :)
She has such courage! I don't know if I'd be able to walk right into a group lesson in a foreign language and be able to keep up. She's amazing! Wish I could have heard it. Tell her to keep up the good work...we'll be awaiting a concert from her upon your return!
she's so cute! and I love the india bag!
Brave like her mama (who else do I know that would be strong enough to take her 3 young children to a foreign country for a year)! I would like to think I'd be that brave :)
