Chrissie had her last violin concert yesterday. Violin was always a big part of our week. We would go to Hannover twice a week for a private and group lessons. We would meet Rick at the teachers house for the private. Fortunately, the teacher's house was very close to his work. The moment we turned onto the road for her house Jane would say, "Tchu Mamma. Daddy. Zoo." Rick would then take Matthew and Jane to the zoo where Chrissie and I would meet up with them later. Violin day was also our zoo day. Then on Thursdays we would go back down into Hannover for Chrissie's group lesson. I was always so amazed watching Chrissie in the group lesson. Not only did she have to do what the teacher asked of the students but she first had to figure out what the teacher was saying in German.

A video of Chrissie playing her solo. Rick missed the beginning where she introduces herself in German. But he got a video of her speaking in German and I can't make out exactly what she is saying because she is speaking so soft. Basically she says her name, that this is her something in Hannover, and that she plays the violin with Frau Tieman.
This was a very informal concert that was held in the room where they practice. The teacher wanted to have one last one before Chrissie went home.
I am not quite sure what Jane is doing here. I think she was trying to wink. After about a half hour Matthew and Jane were ready to go home. Concerts are always hard for them. So we spent the second half of it outside.
Chrissie with her teacher Frau Tieman.
Lastly, a final goodbye to a good friend, Luciana, and her family. She is from Mexico, her husband is German and she was so friendly to me the first day we met.

Chrissie wounds wonderful! Her intonation is so good! She has really improved since I last heard her play. And how fun (and impressive) to hear her speak German!!!
