Hawaii (part 1)

We wanted to have an "end-of-residency-celebration-trip" for Rick in after his graduation in June.  But with family reunions and the move we decided to do it now.  And boy were we glad!  I went through a phase where I wanted nothing to do with beach vacations.  But after a year of traveling around Europe, I was ready for a vacation where we would just hang out and be together.  So Hawaii it was! In order to enjoy my family and be present for them, I turned off my phone.  However, I did check it occasionally to be sure there were no emergencies.  It was so nice to be disconnected (from the world wide web) and just be with my family.  Life was good.
Since I took so many pictures, and haven't figured out photoshop yet, I'll have to divide our trips into two parts.
The plane ride was thankfully uneventful.

Searched for seashells. Found some crabs.

Matthew got bored and just started throwing a football around.

Unearthing the pig-this made my stomach queasy and I quickly lost my appetite.

We ate while enjoying the sunset.

Jane made her self comfortable.

The fire dance was spectacular!

Thursday we just played and played at the beach.

You're not having fun unless you are covered in sand.
