Matthew

(Rick made Matthew a black forest cake a few days before his birthday since we weren't quite sure with traveling what our circumstances would be on his birthday)

Matthew was very anxious for his birthday (March 28th).  The day before he kept asking, "Why isn't it dark yet?"  He wanted so badly for that day to be over.
A little bit about four year old Matthew:
1.  He loves to do puzzles.  He has a lot of energy but the moment we pull out a puzzle he is quietly occupied.
2.  He loves Star Wars and especially enjoys re-enacting the whole thing with Chrissie and Jane.
3.  He loves his Dad and is completely attached to him.   He is always begging for more dates with Dad.  He is always asking if they need to fix the car or if there is more wood they should chop together.

4.  He makes me laugh.  He says very random phrases that come from books or who knows where.  His most favorite is "humbug," which he just randomly grunts.  Or he occasionally calls Rick in a deep voice "humpty dumpty."
