Scenic Drive

(the little gate indicating the unforeseen road closure)
For the second part of our stay in Norway, we headed out to the majestic Fjords country.  Now the drive from the ski resort to the Fjord was only supposed to take two hours...well ten hours later we arrived at our cabin.  There were road closures due to snow and wind.  We had to take a southern route that added an extra seven hours to our drive.  The upside, we saw a lot of beautiful country.    Despite our late start on the drive, we were still able to see a lot since it doesn't get dark until nine o'clock.   Norway's natural beauty is quite spectacular.  Rick took pictures as we were driving past since we couldn't stop but they don't do the natural beauty justice.
A minor note on the roads in Norway.  They are well paved but endlessly windy and slow moving.  But again the drive was so scenic that I can't complain.
