(Every home in Lauterbrunnen had an immaculate vegetable garden. I never saw one weed. No wonder I loved this place: beautiful gardens, cows with bells and spectacular landscape)
For our last day in Lauterbrunnen we hike to a different part of the valley.

And off we go to Unterammergau, Germany.
On our drive up to Unterammergau, we stopped by the popular city of Luzern, Switzerland.
Kapellbrucke: Covered wooden bridge built in 1333 (sadly rebuilt after a fire in 1993). It was adorned with 110 paintings on the wood triangles formed by the roof beams, depicting the history of Luzern and Switzerland. The tower behind once served as an archives room, a prison and a torture chamber.
