Heidleberg

We left very early Tuesday morning for Laturbrunnen, Switzerland.
We experienced the autobahn for the first time. One autobahn rule: do not pass on the right...I repeat, do not pass on the right. Germans are sticklers for rules.
Also, the infamous-no speed limit-allowed us to see mercedes/bmws and the likes fly past us.
(poor little Chrissie, she threw up the entire trip down, so she wasn't feeling too camera happy)

En route to Switzerland we stopped through Heidleberg. We visited the charming village and spent some time at the Heidleberg Schloss: built in the 13th century and added onto in the 16th century.

In the courtyard of the castle.
And that is one of two very large wine barrels.
The moat.
